Dior Sweaters

Christian Dior always had a passion for art. Though he studied political science, he originally wanted to be an architect. Upon graduating, his father bought him an art gallery, which would go on to display the works of Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Jean Cocteau, and Salvador Dali. After his family’s fertilizer business went under during the Great Depression, Dior began drawing fashion sketches and selling them in order to make extra money. Since he founded the house of Christian Dior in 1946, art has always inspired its designs.

More about Dior Sweaters

Our selection of vintage Dior Sweaters exhibits this. While most simply have an arty quality, others were made in direct collaboration with artists (most recently, Kim Jones worked with Raymond Pettibon to bead and embroider his famous pieces into Dior Homme knitwear). Stitched with expressive images and symbols, each Dior Sweater makes a statement. Pick one that best communicates your personal sense of style.

Dior Sweaters are typically crafted of light but warm cashmere, so you can layer yours with a scarf and coat throughout winter or pair it with a skirt in spring. No matter how you style your Christian Dior Sweater, you will be carrying on his artistic legacy.
