Chanel Shoulder Bags

Did you know that Coco Chanel created the first-ever shoulder bag for women? In 1955, she released a style with two chain straps, so women would not have to clutch onto their bags any longer (this was the customary – and socially acceptable – way of carrying them). Freeing women’s hands, Chanel’s shoulder bags were a revolutionary design at the time and remain a must-have piece today.

More about Chanel Shoulder Bags

At The Vintage Bar, we have a wide collection of vintage Chanel Shoulder Bags. Though it primarily consists of Classic Flap Bags, it also includes many specialty styles.

Want to get the Chanel look but still stand out? Score a limited-edition Chanel Shoulder Bag. Among others, we regularly stock the Cambon Ligne (color blocked in pink and black or white and black) and the Puffer Sport (in high-shine black or white nylon). Iconic designs that are no longer offered in Chanel stores, everyone will recognize them but no one else will be carrying them.

In honor of Coco, sling yours over your shoulder.
